Product overview
The closing member of a stainless steel flanged globe valve is a plug-shaped valve disc with a flat or conical sealing surface. The valve disc moves in a straight line along the centerline of the valve seat. The valve stem movement type is commonly referred to as a “hidden stem,” while there is also a lifting and rotating stem type, commonly referred to as an “exposed stem.” A globe valve is a type of valve where the closing member (valve disc) moves along the centerline of the valve seat.

- The structure is simpler than that of a gate valve, making manufacturing and maintenance more convenient.
The sealing surfaces are less prone to wear and abrasion, ensuring good sealing performance. During opening and closing, there is no relative sliding between the valve disc and the valve body sealing surfaces, resulting in minimal wear and abrasion. - Good sealing performance and a long service life.
When opening and closing, the valve disc has a small travel distance, so the height of the globe valve is smaller than that of the gate valve, but the structural length is longer than that of the gate valve.
The torque required for opening and closing is large, making operation more labor-intensive and taking longer time.
Fluid resistance is high because the medium passage inside the valve body is more tortuous, resulting in greater fluid resistance and higher power consumption.
Medium flow direction: The medium in a globe valve can only flow in one direction and cannot change direction.
